The Beavers

About

To join the Beavers, children must be aged 6-8 - the youngest members of the 15th Airedale Scouts. Beavers meet once a week on a Tuesday from 6:00pm - 7:30pm during term time.

What Beavers Do

At our scout group, Beavers take part in a range of activities including games, crafts, singing and plenty of outdoor activities. Children will also have the opportunity to take part in camps and sleepovers.

The Cubs

About

To join the Cubs, children must be aged 8-10. Here at 15th Airedale Scouts we can have up to 36 Cubs which are then split into smaller groups called 'Sixes'. Cubs meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30pm - 8pm during term time.

What Cubs Do

As a Cub, children take part in a variety of activities that are interesting and challenging. A typical Cub Scout meeting consists of games and activities with plenty of time spent outdoors. Camps and holidays are some of the most memorable events of the year for Cubs.

The Scouts

About

To join the Scouts, children must be aged 10-14. Each Scout Troop consists of small units of six to eight Scouts called a Patrol, usually led by a Patrol Leader. Scouts meet on a Friday from 7:00pm - 9:00pm during term time.

What Scouts Do

For the Scouts, there are a lot of outdoor activities, a particualr highlight being camping. As a Scout, children learn a varietyof skills such as map reading, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for camp. Scouts may even get the chance to have exciting expereicnes internationally!
